Supported Living is all about helping people with practical tasks as well as encouraging them to live as independently as they can. We provide supported living to people with learning difficulties, autism, and mental health problems. Our clients can live either on their own in the community or in group homes with other people with similar needs. Wherever you live, we will help you in whatever way you need. This can include help with managing your finances, supporting you to attend a job or education or simply helping you with everyday chores like cooking and cleaning.
The key to our approach is helping you to set up a support plan that sets clear and achievable goals which help you to live independently. To do this, we take the approach of ‘positive risk taking’. In other words, we will support you by managing risks in a way that maximises your choice and control over your own life. We work with you and your families to get a shared understanding of this.
Mr H's top priority was to carry on his passion for music by attending a related college course, he was successful at securing a place and continues to attend college and enjoy his passion.
