The Kickstart Scheme was a government approved scheme that provided funding to employers to create jobs for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit, who may have been at risk of long term unemployment. It was first introduced in 2020 and closed at the end of 2022.
As a company we got involved in the Kickstart scheme and created jobs for 9 candidates who joined it. The candidates had to work 25hrs per week for a duration of 6 months to complete the scheme.
We are pleased to announce that after the candidates successfully completed the scheme, we hired 5 of them and provided them with permanent employment within our company.
